Dr. Mark Venturi

Dr. Mark L. Venturi is a board-certified plastic surgeon whose goal is to deliver the highest level of patient care to both his aesthetic and reconstructive patients. He believes in an individualized approach to each patient in order to attain outstanding results. His personal diligence and compassion distinguish him from other plastic surgeons as does his high level of training. Specializing in aesthetic surgery of the face and body as well as state-of-the art perforator flap breast reconstruction, Dr. Venturi offers a unique combination of skills to his patients.

Dr. Venturi began his academic career at Georgetown University where he studied both biology and theology. After graduating with honors, Dr. Venturi went on to Georgetown University School of Medicine where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. This award is given to a select few of the top performers in U.S. medical schools.

Following medical school, Dr. Venturi was selected to enter the highly competitive integrated plastic surgery training program at Georgetown University Medical Center where he received numerous achievement awards including Resident Teacher of the Year and Chief Resident. Dr. Venturi has published multiple original articles in peer reviewed plastic surgery journals and has authored numerous manuscript chapters. He has presented numerous papers and presentations at National and International Plastic Surgery meetings. In addition, Dr. Venturi has been invited yearly since 2006 to teach other plastic surgeons at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons annual meeting.

Upon completion of his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Venturi continued his training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where he completed a fellowship in Microvascular Surgery. As per US News and World Report, M. D. Anderson has ranked as one of the top two hospitals in cancer care for 19 years, since the magazine began its annual survey in 1990. During his fellowship, Dr. Venturi mastered the latest techniques in breast reconstruction and other cancer restorative surgeries. The vast skill set that Dr. Venturi has acquired through intense training at premier academic institutions such as Georgetown and MD Anderson is evident in his ability to perform both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery with artistic finesse.
