NLite Laser Collagen Replenishment

What is NLite Laser Collagen Replenishment (LCR)?

The NLite Vascular is an excellent pulsed dye laser that was the first FDA-approved non-ablative device to increase the collagen content in the skin and around the eye and face region. It requires two to three treatments over several weeks, followed by an additional three to four months of healing time (during which the cells produce new collagen). The overall effect of this increased collagen is thickened skin and diminished fine lines. The NLite Vascular can also be utilized to treat a multitude of problems with the skin, including hemageomas, rosacea, spider angioma, warts, poikiloderma, port wine birthmarks, certain pyogeni granulomas, and even the control of some acne-like conditions.

How long does it take to see the effects of the NLite LCR Laser?

Approximately 30 days after treatment, some patients will notice a visible reduction in fine lines and periocular wrinkles. Most patients eventually report positive effects. The NLite LCR treatment improvements will continue up to 90 days after treatment. Best results are most often achieved after a series of two or more treatments, by which time patients have sustained an 80 to 130 percent increase in the amount of collagen.

Is NLite LCR painful?

When properly performed, NLite LCR is painless, requiring no anesthesia or post-operative recovery. Our patients report that during the procedure they experience a mild yet pleasant warming sensation lasting only briefly after treatment.

Who should consider this treatment?

The NLite LCR treatment is appropriate for adults of all ages and skin types, both men and women.

What causes wrinkles?

Wrinkles often occur during the aging process when the collagen layer, which supports the skin, begins to thin.

What is photoaging?

Photoaging is a condition where UV light or the sun damages collagen causing the appearance of premature wrinkles.

Can NLite LCR treat photoaging?

NLite LCR can increase collagen production and improve the appearance of the skin by reducing periocular wrinkles (around the eyes) and fine lines.

Will men as well as women seek treatment with the NLite LCR laser?

NLite LCR treatment is an excellent solution for anyone who prefers a gradual, non-invasive facial rejuvenation approach without a lengthy recovery time.

Why are baby-boomers so interested in treatments and procedures that diminish the effects of aging?

With advances in health and nutrition, people are feeling better and living longer. Treatment with the NLite LCR laser will allow baby-boomers to look as young as they feel.

Is NLite LCR approved by the FDA?

NLite LCR received FDA approval for marketing in August 2000. It is the only laser that has been cleared for wrinkle reduction.

Who administers the treatment?

NLite LCR is administered by a trained technician in a physician's office under the care of a physician.
